Residential - garbage - recycling - bin exchange

We ask that you try your current bin out for several collection cycles to confirm if you really need to make a change.

Bin exchange fees:

  • there is no exchange fee to downsizing your Garbage or Recycling Bin.
  • there is no exchange fee to upsize your Recycling Bin.
  • There is a $20.00 fee to up size your Garbage Bin.

Wrong size bin delivered

Single-family residential:
Exchanges only occur on the collection day for that bin.
Place the bin on private property (at the front of the property, it must be visible and accessible) before 7:00 am on your regular collection day and leave it out until 7:00 pm.
Note: it may take more than one collection cycle for the bin to be exchanged.

For Residential Units Above Commercial (RUAC): owner/agents calling where they do not have "private property" to leave the bin out where it's visible and accessible for repair/replacement/exchange.

The bin must be visible and accessible from street line for the crew to repair the bin. Bins cannot be left out on City property for more that 24 hours. For RUAC Night collections leave the bin out the day following your collection night (ie: 7:00 am. to 7:00 pm.) for the vendor to exchange. All Bin exchanges are done on the collection day. If the exchange does not take place, bring the bin back in and place out on your next collection week.

All requests for RUAC bin exchanges will be auto routed to the bin vendor and must be completed within 7 business days from date of receipt. No fee will be charged to repair.

There is no fee is charged to replace the bin with the properly ordered size.
