 The Affordable Housing Office reports to the Deputy City Manager, with a mandate to work effectively with all housing stakeholders.
We expedite affordable housing development, facilitate the development of new policy and work in partnership with the federal and provincial governments. The Office facilitates the creation of affordable homes by working collaboratively within the City of Toronto with Shelter, Support and Housing Administration; Planning; Finance; Economic Development; Parks and Recreation, Facilities and Real Estate -- even the Fire, Ambulance and Police departments.
Of equal importance, the Office partners with the private and voluntary sectors on a range of initiatives.
