Toronto a la Cart takes street food to a new level. Toronto food lovers may now step outside and enjoy foods from around the globe. Toronto a la Cart, a three year pilot project approved in December 2008 by Toronto City Council, brings together great food, cultural diversity and state-of-the-art carts for the benefit of residents and tourists alike.
An interim report about the program will be delivered to the Board of Health in the fall of 2009.
A list of people interested in participating in the pilot project is being kept in the event that additional vendors will be added to the program. Interested people should email their name, mailing address, phone number and email address to streetfood@toronto.ca.
Spice up your private function with Toronto a la Cart Vendors and carts are available to cater private parties. Email streetfood@toronto.ca for more information.
