Toronto a la Cart takes street food to a new level. Toronto food lovers will be able to step outside and enjoy foods from around the globe when the Toronto a la Cart street food pilot project hits the streets this spring.
Cooks from all cultural and ethnic backgrounds applied to become a street food vendor serving ethnically diverse, nutritious food as part of the project approved December 2, 2008 by Toronto City Council.
The eight successful applicants were announced at a news conference on March 17, 2009.
The new vendors will be at the following locations:
