Gerald Pisarzowski works in the modernist tradition, using both large and small format cameras. He is particularly known for his natural landscape photography, and specializes in platinum printing, a time-consuming process of mixing chemical solutions to create a light-sensitive emulsion that is hand-coated onto a paper base.
His work has been exhibited throughout Canada, and is represented in both corporate and private collections. This limited-edition portfolio of 15 photographs documents the whirling lights and popcorn-cotton candy aroma of the CNE midway, for many Toronto residents an integral part of summer. Fonds 94.
