"The reputation, and contribution to child education, made by these classes has passed beyond the limits of the Art Gallery and the city. Many exhibitions of child art, at home and abroad, have brought the work of the Art Gallery's children to the attention of present-day leaders in education. Members of the Art Gallery are assured that their support is given to a creative and social form of child study that leads not only to the appreciation of Art but to the enjoyment and right use of leisure and to the development of character."
