The metaphor of an English circuit garden within the context of a treatment plant is intriguing. What is enjoyable is the notion of compatibility of uses, stewardship, interpretation and education as a narrative to be experienced on a land use which has generally been inaccessible as a public resource.

Alex Krieger
The ambitions of this project - more so than any specific illustrated improvement - is what is significant. A 20-year development plan to redesign the environs of the City's main wastewater treatment plant to better educate the public about matters such as water usage, conservation of resources, landscape regeneration, natural habitats, ecologically driven design and the like is certainly meritorious. This should become the model for other such infrastructure facilities that typically do not enter the consciousness of the public.

Lisa Rochon
A pretty scheme designed to make us forget that this is a smelly plant that creates too much pollution.
