Landscape Architect: Project Works
Owner/Developer: Kensington Lofts Developments Inc., Partners: Equivest and ORDC, Context Developments
The community-driven development process for this project is commendable and as such this residential project deserves recognition that goes beyond its spare architectural treatment and physical form.

A skilful rehabilitation of a surplus building not only for residential use but also with adjacent spaces that have been adapted to the visual benefit of the neighbourhood.

JOHN STREET ROUNDHOUSE RESTORATION
JOHN STREET ROUNDHOUSE RESTORATION
Bremner Blvd.

Architect: Hotson Bakker Architects
Owner/Developer: Metropolitan Toronto Convention Centre/ Marathon Realty

This project is a valuable example of careful physical reinterpretation of a major heritage building, adapted to accommodate new occupancies and incorporating associated railway heritage elements in the surrounding park.

The enhancement of this site benefits the public in the downtown core and the complex presents a spectacular sight from the CN Tower.
