Here's how property taxes of $2,459.89 for the average house, valued at $447,090, will be spent. Of the total average property tax of $2,459, approximately three quarters or $1,807 will be spent on Police Services; TTC; repaying the principal and interest costs for debt borrowing (debt servicing); Fire Services; Parks, Forestry and Recreation; and Shelter, Support, and Housing. The remaining $653 or 27% of the property tax bill is used to fund all other services delivered by the City.
