TelePermit Inspection System
Toronto Building TelePermit gives building permit holders seven days a week access to request, cancel or reschedule an inspection. Inspections are held Monday to Friday during normal business hours.
TelePermit also lets permit holders listen to inspection results and gives them the option of having a printed inspection status report sent to their fax or email (for the printed report, a fee of $27.50 applies).
Using TelePermit, you can:

TelePermit will prompt you through each step of your call. Whenever you’re prompted for information, you can speak or key in your response – a word, number, or date. You can perform multiple functions during a call. At the end of a function, you can say Main Menu to start a new request.
To use the system, simply call the same number you normally call to book an inspection. That number is listed on the documentation attached to the permit.

When to Call for Inspections
The attached schedules list the various types of mandatory inspections that may be required for each project. The tables also describe the stages of construction where you must notify the inspector of your readiness for inspection.

Cost for these inspections is included in your building permit fee. Additional inspections can be arranged through your local inspection office. An additional fee may apply.
