Public Engagement on Climate Change

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2007 and 2008 public consultations on climate change and climate change adaptation.

2008 Climate Change Adaptation Forums
In the Spring of 2008, Toronto residents and other stakeholders were invited to provide input on the City’s strategy to adapt to climate change. Thank you to everyone who participated.

For a summary of these engagement activities, please view or download the Climate Change Adaptation Public Engagement Report (PDF).

2007 Climate Change Forums generate hundreds of ideas
In April 2007, several hundred people attended the City's public consultations on climate change.

With City Council's unanimous approval of the first phase of Toronto's Climate Change, Clean Air and Sustainable Energy Action Plan (PDF) in July 2007, Toronto is implementing one of the most ambitious environmental plans in North America. The plan will see Torontonians change for the better the way we live, work and travel about our great city.

For a summary of the 2007 public and stakeholder engagement activities on the City’s Climate Change, Clean Air and Sustainable Energy Action Plan, read the civic engagement report (PDF) and supplement on public engagement discussions (PDF).
