Hours and days of operation
Municipal Child care centres operate Monday to Friday and are generally open in the morning at 7:00 am or 7:30
am and close in the evening at 6:00 pm.
The centres are closed on statutory holidays. The centres are also closed on Easter Monday, Remembrance Day and for 10 days during the summer.
The 2012 summer closure for Municipal Child Care Centres runs from Monday, July 23rd to Friday August 3rd. The centres will reopen on Tuesday August 7th, after the civic holiday. |
At Toronto Home Child Care (THCC) the hours of care available vary from home to home and can often meet the needs of families who work shifts or who want part-time, weekend or overnight care.

Registration
If you need help with the cost of child care, you can register through our child care fee subsidy application process. Learn more about child care fee subsidy.
If you do not need help with the cost of child care, you can register by using our online full fee application or by calling 311.
Many of our programs have a wait list so apply early.
