The CityWatch program brought together City workers and professional emergency services staff to create a safer and more caring Toronto for everyone. The program encouraged City workers to be more aware of and alert to what is going on around them during the normal course of their work day.

Under the program, municipal workers were involved and obtained professional help when they encountered problems in the community involving health, safety or security.

A co-operative effort by the City, its agencies and municipal labour unions, CityWatch provided formal recognition of employees' good deeds. Read about award-winning CityWatch recipients.
