Regulating Gas Powered Small Engine Equipment - November 2009

Category Community Council/Ward
Environment City-wide

Help 'green' the future of lawn and garden care
Older lawn and garden equipment, such as leaf and snow blowers, lawnmowers and trimmers, emit a high level of pollutants into the air, particularly when powered by a "two-stroke" engine.

Join us to address this challenge as we investigate actions to reduce the emissions from this equipment, including potential regulatory measures and incentives.

The need to reduce the emissions caused by two-stroke engines is part of the City's Climate Change Action Plan.
