Mandate
To develop a strategy with Region of York regarding Steeles Avenue, and to address a number of boundary-related planning and transportation issues, including the issue of signs, both portable and permanent, curb cuts and development applications.

Re-established by City Council on January 30, 31, and February 1, 2001, Clause No. 3 of Report No. 1 of the Planning and Transportation Committee, with a proviso that its mandate be completed when an agreement has been signed with York Region; and that appropriate City staff be requested to report to the Sub-Committee on a quarterly basis on the progress of this Agreement.

Transferred under Works Committee on October 29, 2002, Clause No. 3 of Report No. 11 of the Works Committee, with the mandate expanded to include the issue of signs, both portable and permanent, curb cuts and development applications.
