Requesting an opportunity to make a presentation at the October 22, 1998 meeting of the Task Force on Community Access and Equity to present an outline of their concerns regarding the consultation process and the opportunity for residents and service providers to hear the proposals of the Task Force and comment on them before they are presented to Council.

Inviting Reverend Gretta Vosper to make a presentation to the Task Force at the October 22, 1998 meeting regarding the services provided by Community groups to refugee claimants, without the support of federal funding, as a result of Citizenship and Immigration Canada devolving settlement funding and services and expressing concern that the individuals and families who need services most are being excluded from federally funded services on the basis of their refugee claimant status.

C. 9:50 a.m. DESIGN OF ACCESSIBLE PUBLIC WASHROOMS IN CITY HALL RENOVATIONS.

Hamilton Award - 20th Anniversary - 1999", and directed, in part, that a copy of the Clause be forwarded to the Task Force on Community Access and Equity for information.

    The Task Force will meet In-Camera regarding the draft confidential report addressing the ways in which the new City can continue to support the principles of access and equity and ensure that the voices of its diverse communities are involved in all aspects of City life, particularly municipal services, programs and decision making.
