Implementing the recommendations of the Environmental Plan is a complex task involving numerous departments and divisions within the City. The Plan consists of 66 recommendations and encompasses over 300 activities. The Toronto Interdepartmental Environment Team (TIE) is a staff committee that provides a corporate and co-ordinated approach to environmental issues and initiatives. In 2003, TIE prepared the Status Report: Implementation of the Environmental Plan Initiatives, which provided the first comprehensive analysis of the various initiatives resulting from the Environmental Plan.
