Michael Feldman has taken an active role in the community for many years and his experience covers a wide range of interests.
Councillor Feldman has been a major supporter of social housing, not only as chair of the Metro Housing Development Corporation but also in a number of other capacities including serving on task forces dealing with housing for the physically disabled and low-income.
He presently serves as a director on the Provincial Social Housing Services Corporation and is a past director of the Ontario Housing Corporation.
Michael Feldman was Deputy Mayor for 3 years and currently sits on the Board of the Toronto Centre for the Performing Arts Advisory Committee, the Hummingbird Theatre, Toronto Parking Authority, Toronto Economic Development Corporation and the Toronto Film Board.
Councillor Feldman is retired from his position as founding president of Teela Data Management, specializing in real estate information. He and his wife, Sue, have three children and four grandchildren.
