Court interpreters are available if required, including visual language interpretation (sign language). To request an interpreter:

  • Fill out a Notice of Intention to Appear (NIA) and indicate the language you require.
  • Take your form to the POA Court Office indicated on the back of your ticket.
  • If you filed your NIA and did not ask for an interpreter, you can fill out an Interpreter request form and return it to the appropriate Toronto POA Court Office (where the certificate/information is filed) if a court date has been scheduled, you must complete and file your request four weeks before your scheduled court date.
