Toronto/Milano: The Urban Landscape
Toronto/Milano: The Urban Landscape examines the landscape of these two sister cities. The project will compare and contrast the industrial, commercial and residential areas of the two cities.
City of Toronto Cultural Services, Arts Services, the Italian Chamber of Commerce, City of Toronto Economic Development and City of Milano have come together before, collaborating on a previous photography project, Mobile City in 2008/2009. The sister cities continue to exchange ideas and encourage dialogue through art.

Toronto/Milano: The Urban Landscape started in 2010. Accomplished, internationally known photographer Michael Awad is the lead artist on this project, and is mentoring a group of young creative apprentices from across Toronto's diverse neighbourhoods. These youth are working under the direction of Michael to make large-format photo collages that will be exhibited at Brookfield Place, and will travel to Toronto's Pearson Airport. The work of the youth will be featured alongside six of Michael's works.
