Arts Services Volunteer Opportunities:

Do you love the arts, enjoy being involved in your community, like to meet people and learn new skills or want to play your part in the vibrant cultural life of Toronto? Then Arts Services has a volunteer opportunity for you! From students to seniors, Arts Services volunteers can contribute their time and skills while participating in fun and creative activities.

Volunteers are needed to:

  • assist with the planning, installation and opening of gallery exhibits
  • lend a hand as an usher at performances
  • help with March Break and summer fine arts camps
  • provide support as studio assistants
  • and so much more!

Assembly Hall

There are several ways in which volunteers can become involved at the Assembly Hall – as performance ushers in our theatre, to assist staff and welcome the public at Assembly Hall community open houses, to help with art show installations and opening receptions or as a member of the Assembly Hall Advisory Committee or one of its sub-committees. Training is provided and students looking to earn community hours are welcome to apply.

To learn more please call 416-338-7255 or email assembly@toronto.ca

Cedar Ridge Creative Centre

Cedar Ridge Creative Centre welcomes volunteers to help in our art studios (studio assistants), at our March Break and summer fine arts camp (Junior Leader Training Program), at special events, outreach programs and community arts projects. Cedar Ridge Creative Centre is home to Cedar Ridge Studio Gallery, a membership-based organization that assists in programming the Cedar Ridge Gallery and offers various art exhibits and sales each year.

To learn more please call 416-396-4027 or email crcc@toronto.ca

Etobicoke Civic Centre Art Gallery

The Etobicoke Civic Centre Art Gallery presents monthly art exhibitions and welcomes new members to apply to its volunteer committee. Duties may include checking the artwork's condition, aesthetically arranging art works in the gallery and display cases and assisting with opening receptions. Training is provided in these areas. Members meet several times a year to determine the schedule of art shows and resolve other gallery issues.

To learn more please call Peter Code at 394-8628 or email eccartgallery@toronto.ca
