  2003 Bicycle Friendly Business Awards

The City of Toronto is proud to present the annual Bicycle Friendly Business Awards for 2003. The Bicycle Friendly Business Awards are presented to businesses or other organizations in the City of Toronto that demonstrate leadership in encouraging cycling by employees and/or customers. All businesses that support cycling help the City to achieve one of the goals of the Toronto Bike Plan: to double the number of bicycle trips made in the City by the year 2011.

The following seven awards will be presented at a special ceremony on Thursday, October 9th, 2003, at 7 p.m. in the Rotunda of Toronto City Hall (100 Queen Street West):

  • Best Bike Parking
  • Bicycle-Friendliest Suburban Business
  • Bicycle Commute
  • Best Small Business (up to 99 employees)
  • Best Large Business (100 employees and over)
  • Best Skills Development
  • Best Overall

Learn about some tips to integrate cycling into your workplace. Find out more about cycling at the workplace by visiting the Bicycle User Groups Network site.

The winners will receive a trophy for one year, a scroll from the Mayor, and will be listed in press releases and in the 2004 nomination form. Click here to find out more about the 2002 winners and nominees.
