How does the 48 hour rule work?
The 48 rule only applies to weekdays, so weekends and holidays are not considered. For example, if you parked your bicycle Friday evening you would have until Wednesday morning to pick it up.

Have there been any incidences of theft or vandalism at the Bicycle Station?
There have been no incidences of either.

Are parking plans based on the calendar month or from the date of purchase?
Your parking plan is based on your date of purchase. For example if you pay for one month on August 9th, you will have access to the Station until September 9th.

Can I renew my membership before it expires?
Yes. You can renew your membership before or on the date of expiry. If you renew before the expiry date it will be extended from the date it is set to expire.

How does the Bike Sharing system work?
Members of the Bicycle Station have access to one of the three Bike Sharing Bikes during staff hours. Talk to staff about the full details of the system.

Can a friend use the Bike Sharing bikes?
Yes. You may let a non-member use a Bike Sharing bike during staff hours. However they must sign a waver first. Please talk to bicycle station staff for the full details.

Is there assigned parking?
No. You are guaranteed a spot but you can park in any available spot.

Do you have showers?
At this time there are no showers located in the Bicycle Station at Union Station. However this will change in the future with the revitalization of Union Station. As well The Bicycle Station at City Hall will have showers.

Do you have lockers?
No, for security reasons we do not have lockers at the Bicycle Station at Union Station at this time.

Where is the nearest washroom?
The nearest public washroom is located in Union Station.

Do I need to bring my own lock?
Yes. We recommend for enhanced security that you bring your own lock.

Do you rent bicycles?
No, we do not rent bicycles. However we are happy to supply you with a Toronto Cycling Map that has a full list of rental locations in Toronto.

Are memberships transferable to friends or family?
No. For security reasons each user must have their own membership.

Where can I find archived Bike Week Shirts?
There is a wide variety of archived Bike Week and other cycling shirts available for sale at the Bicycle Station at Union Station.

What happens if I let my parking plan expire?
If you wish to renew after your plan has expired but there is a waitlist, your spot will be given to the first person on the list and you will be bumped to the end of the waitlist.

What happens if I don’t return my key fob?
The key fob is City of Toronto property and failure to return it will result in a fine of $25 dollars as outlined in our terms and conditions.

What perks come with the Bicycle Station membership?
Membership is reasonably priced and comes with a 10% discount at participating bike shops in Toronto. As well, registration comes with a free bicycle station t-shirt.

Does the Bicycle Station offer repairs?
No at this time the bicycle station has a self-serve mechanic space with tools for minor repairs and maintenance.
