There are a lot of exciting plans in the works. Bike Month has expanded to include activities and events for all things bicycle related in the City.
The foundation of Bike Month is the Cycling Community here in Toronto. Over 70 community partners; community groups, businesses, and organizations make up the bulk of Bike Month's calendar of events.
These groups handle concerns as associated with their respective events, the City of Toronto contributes by running a few major events, and by publishing Bike Month Calendars, Posters and associated brochures. We need some help keeping the organization of Bike Month as a whole in order. If you would like to get involved with organizing this year's Bike Month, have a look at the following volunteer positions.
-
Volunteer Organizer
The Volunteer Organizer will be responsible for the scheduling of volunteers to events and activities. The Volunteer Organizer will need to maintain the file on contacts for all volunteers. We will work with you to have task lists for all events, so people know what they are signing up for. Must have experience working in Microsoft Excel.
-
Materials Coordination Organizer
Bike Month Event Calendars and posters are distributed to Toronto's bike shops, public libraries, community centers, civic centers, event holders, as well as a wide range of community groups BIAs and other contacts. Anyone applying for these posts should be prepared to commit up to 5 hours per week for the months of February and March, and up to 10 hours per week for the months of April, May and June.
Please contact us with a brief write up of pertinent experience you have in the area of whichever position you are applying for.
