Ride arrives at City Hall 8 a.m.
City organized start locations are staffed with ride co-ordinators, Emergency Medical Services workers, and a Police escort. Community start locations are organized by cyclists from the neighbourhood of the community start location. Community start locations connect with the ride en route to Yonge and Bloor and Nathan Phillips Square.
All Group Commute participants will receive a free Bike Month t-shirt, as well as a complimentary pancake breakfast upon their arrival at Nathan Phillips Square. Breakfast will include hot pancakes, maple syrup, fruit, croissants and coffee.
Chris McKhool will be performing on Nathan Phillips Square, nominated twice for JUNO Awards nominee Chris McKhool is one of Canada's hottest musicians for young people. For over ten years, McKhool has been touring across North America, reaching over a million children, and has also appeared on Mr. Dressup, YTV's Treehouse and the CBC. McKhool's latest CD, FiddleFire!, earned him a 2009 Parents' Choice Award, a 2009 iParenting Media Award, and the 2009 JUNO Award Nomination. A champion of environmental issues, Chris has also won a Green Toronto Award of Excellence with his other CDS and concerts.
