  Become a CAN-BIKE Cycling Instructor
   

Responsibilities
Teach the following courses:
  • Kids CAN-BIKE
  • Adult Learn To Ride 1
  • Adult Learn To Ride 2
  • CAN-BIKE 1
  • CAN-BIKE 2
  • Cycling Freedom for Women

Qualifications

  • CAN-BIKE 2
    • Completed at a high level of proficiency - Above 80%
    • Must be recommended by the Instructor
    • Demonstrates attributes of a good instructor: good organizational, people and leadership skills.
  • CAN-BIKE Instructor Certificate earned through Workshop, and Examination
  • Current Standard First Aid certificate
  • First Alert Training (provided by Parks and Recreation)
  • Must have own bicycle that complies with the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) and approved helmet
  • Must have a current Ontario Cycling Association CAN-BIKE Instructor membership

Period of employment
May - September, includes weekends and evening hours

Wage: $16.69 - $22.64 per hour.
