3) Nominations for the 2007 Bicycle Friendly Business Awards (BFBA) are now underway

Do you work for a business or organization that encourages cycling by providing adequate and secure bike parking? Are there shower and change facilities at your workplace for employees who commute by bicycle? Or perhaps you know of a business that does their deliveries by bike?

There are many easy ways in which businesses can facilitate a bicycle-friendly atmosphere for employees and customers alike. The Bicycle Friendly Business Awards serve to recognize and encourage these efforts. Check out the BFBA's for ideas on how to make your business or organization more bike-friendly, or to access the on-line nomination form.

Nominations for the BFBAs will be accepted until Friday, September 7th, 2007. All nominations are then reviewed by a panel of judges who will select a winner for each of the seven award categories. The winners will be honoured at a formal ceremony in the City Hall Rotunda on Thursday, October 4th, 2007.

All are welcome to attend.
