U of T - Don clean-up, June 02, 2007
The U of T mountain biking team organized their
8th annual Don Valley Trails cleanup.

Utilitarian and recreational cycling connotes a healthy and environmentally sustainable lifestyle. If you have the ability and resources to do so, we welcome your ideas and initiatives to promote cycling in the City, and wish to encourage you to organize a cycling event, or offer your resources to partner with existing events.

Events promoting cycling can take on many forms. The U of T mountain biking team (photo above) do an annual organized Don Valley Trails cleanup. Other examples of events are group exploration and training rides, bike tours, bike races or scavenger hunt challenges, bike workshops to learn mechanical skills, film screenings, art exhibitions, as well as fitness, health, or City Planning seminars, summits forums and conferances. Some individuals who work in specialized areas such as historical sites or the Zoo have organized tours by bike, or exhibits showcasing how their place of work has embraced cycling as part of their business plan.

Please don't hesitate to contact us for support, as we may be able to assist you with event troubleshooting, networking, and promotions. Please keep us informed about your events. Send us your pictures, news clippings, news media hits or any other pertinent materials.

Good luck and happy cycling!
