Suggest a Location
The Post and Ring Program is now being run by the Street Furniture Unit, part of the City's Public Realm Section.
The City of Toronto installs post and ring bicycle parking stands on City sidewalks and boulevards which have a minimum width of 2 metres. Transportation Services performs site inspections of requested locations to determine if the suggested location is suitable for this program.
All new locations suggested by the public will be considered, however, the City reserves the right to vet all submissions. Stands which are approved are installed free of charge.
IPost and Ring Bike Stands are not supplied by the City for installation on private property.
Damaged Post and Ring Stands
Feedback from the public is essential to help with the identification and subsequent repair of damaged bicycle parking stands. We thank members of the public who have taken the time to bring these maintenance issues to our attention.

Removal of Abandoned or Derelict Bikes
Cyclists should be aware that rusty and damaged bicycles which have been left on post and ring stands may be tagged for removal. Once a bicycle has been tagged, its owner has 7 days to remove it. Solid Waste will remove the bikes and locks permanently in order to clear the public right-of-way and maintain availability of short-term bicycle parking.
Bikes which are obviously derelict - stripped of parts or damaged beyond use - may be removed and discarded without notice.
The City does not guarantee the return of any bicycle which has been removed from a post and ring stand.
