  Don River video

Click on picture for larger image - Paddle the DonIn the spring of 2001, the Discovery Channel Canada website made a "webisode" on Toronto's urban rivers, called "Rivers Run Through It". The webisode consists of an original video feature on the annual "Paddle the Don" event, plus two segments from the archives of the daily science news show @discovery.ca showing aspects of the Don River and Humber River. Each webisode is about ten minutes long. You need Windows Media Player to view the videos.

Each spring the Toronto Regional Conservation Authority (TRCA) hosts a daylong event allowing canoeists to paddle down the lower Don River. This video follows staff of the Discovery Channel and EXN.ca on their way down the Don in 2001.
