* The Toronto Energy Conservation Fund and the Toronto Green Energy Fund were created as part of the Climate Change, Clean Air and Sustainable Energy Action Plan. The Funds (known together as the Sustainable Energy Funds or SEFs), provide zero-interest financing to help overcome the barrier created by high upfront costs for energy efficiency measures in buildings (new or retrofitted), and renewable energy projects.
    Expected Outcomes:
  • Verifiable and ongoing greenhouse gas reductions due to energy savings/generation
  • Increased organizational capacity to plan, install, operate and maintain projects
  • Ongoing reporting of project results and dissemination of lessons learned
Who is Eligible:
Financing is available to Municipal, Academic, Social Service, Healthcare (MASH), and other not-for-profit organizations, and private multi-residential buildings located within the City of Toronto.
