The much-loved Franklin the Turtle storybook character has enchanted young audiences around the world - and now Franklin has a new home on the Toronto Islands' Centre Island!

The Franklin Children's Garden is a new garden created especially for children of all ages and families. There is so much to see and do at the garden every day:

Inspired by Canadian children's literature, the garden is a place where children can learn about the natural world and discover the great adventure of reading.

Free events will be held at the garden daily from June to September, including a storytelling series and drop-in garden activities.

You can also discover the Franklin Children's Garden and its many delights on your own.

All will enjoy exploring the six play areas that will offer you new sights, smells and experiences every time you visit. Interactive garden features include a tree house, vine tunnel, snail trail, turtle pond, a hands-on garden and bronze sculptures.

Franklin Children's Garden is open year-round. Admission is free.
