    Pet lost & found, adoption and dog bites

    Toronto Animal Services operates five Animal Centres and is responsible for sheltering animals that are lost or surrendered by owners or animals that are available for adoption to new homes.

    TTC - public transit
    The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is the quick, convenient and safe way to get around Toronto. The subway system is linked with buses and streetcars for one fare, provided it's a one-way trip with no stopovers.

    The Toronto Public Library's 99 branches have books, CDs, DVDs and more in many languages. Highspeed internet access is available free across the system as are programmes for all ages, including storytimes for children from birth onwards.     These four provincially mandated child protection agencies serve Toronto and work to protect children from neglect and physical, sexual and emotional abuse:

    Housing Connections assists moderate to low-income families looking for affordable housing in Toronto.
