Green Bins and Kitchen Container
Green Bins and kitchen containers can be purchased at your local Home Hardware store or City sites listed on the chart. Some sites also have composters. To exchange a broken Green Bin and/or kitchen container (the damaged bin must be returned or charges apply), or get one free if you have just moved and don’t have one (proof of residency within 90 days required), visit any of the City of Toronto sites. Exception: Standard charges apply for composters.

Blue Bins and Garbage Bins
To order, exchange, report a missing bin or request a repair for a Blue Bin or Garbage Bin, call 311 or visit toronto.ca/311.

Moving?
Bins don't move, when you do.
Previous owners/residents must leave their Blue Bin and Garbage Bin behind when they move. Bins are City of Toronto property. If a size exchange is required, the new resident taking ownership of the property can call 311 or visit toronto.ca/311 to request an exchange. Your Green Bin can move with you.
