Aerobic composting uses naturally occurring bacteria and fungi to break down organic material to produce compost. This process takes approximately six months. |

Aerobic composting eliminates pathogens and produces a product that doesn't smell and can be used safely. Before leaving the site, the compost is tested to ensure that it satisfies provincial requirements for safety and quality.
The compost is a beneficial soil amendment and is safe to use in gardens and on lawns. When used as soil amendment for new plantings, the compost should be well worked into the soil.
