Description of the group’s objectives, geographic focus, activities and plans:

Friends of the Don East is a membership-based non-profit organization working to protect and enhance the Don River and to encourage the establishment of healthy and sustainable communities within the central and eastern portions of the Don watershed, Toronto, Ontario. While we support all aspects of sustainable development, including energy efficiency and social equity, our primary mandate is the design and delivery of educational and community involvement programs to protect the natural heritage and ecological integrity of the Don watershed.
