Concert Lineup

12:30 pm   Done with Dolls

Done with DollsHailing from Toronto, the lovely and talented girls behind Done with Dolls are your typical preteens – except for the fact that they spend their weekends touring and their music video receives constant airtime on the Family Channel.  Done With Dolls’ pop-punk tunes channel a serious Miley Cyrus-meets-Avril Lavigne vibe, but it is their fresh and unique songs like “Story of My Life” and “Sisters” that got the attention of famous artists and studio heads. Rumor has it Our Lady Peace frontman Raine Maida (who happens to be signed to the same label, Kingnoise Records) and his wife Chantal Kreviazuk are currently working with the band.

1:30 pm   Neverest

NeverestAs their name suggests Neverest are absolutely relentless in the pursuit of their musical goals. “We all have our own Mount Everest,” says frontman, Spyros ‘Spee’ Chalkiotis, “and we’re never going to rest until we accomplish the things we want to as a band.”   A rare mix of raw talent, finely honed musical chops and unrelenting drive, Spee, Mike, Brendan and Paul approach every aspect of their craft with single-minded dedication. And that’s what truly sets Neverest apart – A seamless fusion of hard rock, R&B and pop that somehow channels the somber introspection of bands like A Perfect Circle and the tight vocal pop of the Backstreet Boys simultaneously. Songs so compelling, and hooks so instant and universal, they will be thoroughly entrenched in your mind on the first listen.

2:15 pm   Tyler Medeiros

Tyler MedeirosBorn and raised in Toronto, Tyler's music is greatly influenced by his two older cousins, pop singers Danny Fernandes and Shawn Desman. At just fourteen years old, Tyler has a lot he wants to share with his audience. His ambitions encompass music and dancing alike. Taking dance classes since the age of 10, his style has also been influenced by icons like Michael Jackson, Usher and Justin Timberlake among others.

2:45 pm   Meaghan Smith

Meaghan SmithMeaghan Smith is a Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist. Her independently-recorded debut album, The Cricket's Orchestra was picked up by Sire Records/Warner Music Canada and released in early 2010. After that she received a great deal of exposure while she contributed to cover alternative rock group Pixies' "Here Comes Your Man" to the soundtrack of 2009's (500) Days of Summer, featuring her playing an Omnichord.  Meaghan is the 2011 Juno Award winner for Best New Artist.

3:30 pm   God Made Me Funky

God Made Me FunkyToronto based God Made ME Funky (GMMF) is a funky live ensemble, comprised of a diverse array of musicians ranging from a classically trained Jazz artist to street schooled Hip-Hop and RnB vocalists. Influences including Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Sly and the Family Stone, Michael Jackson, Jamiroquai, the Roots, Afrika Bambatta, and D'Angelo were remixed with a 'new school' sound, defining the bands unique style.  GMMF won the Toronto Independent Music Award for Best RnB Band, the first of many accolades and achievements, for their self-titled debut album released in 2005. In addition, they were named one of the top performers at NXNE by ChartAttack.com that same year. Continuing their success, the band has shared the stage with such notable artists as Guru (GangStarr, Jazzmatazz), Afrika Bambatta, Julie McKnight, Bedouin Soundclash, and Divine Brown.

4:15 pm   Acoustic Performance by: Crash Test Dummies

Crash Test DummiesThere is no mistaking Brad Roberts’ voice. He may look like an average guy, now in his mid-40s, but then he opens his mouth and his majestic baritone voice immediately conjures fond memories of such Crash Test Dummies hits at “Mmm, Mmm, Mmm, Mmm” and “Superman.” Perhaps best remembered for the acerbic folk rock sound of 1991’s The Ghosts That Haunt Me and 1993’s God Shuffled His Feet, there have nonetheless been enough hits for the band over the years to merit a couple of greatest hits packages. Yet it is Roberts’ voice and offbeat lyrical sensibility that have been this beloved band’s calling cards since their founding twenty years ago. The band is touring this summer for the first time since 2004. Crash Test Dummies will perform as an acoustic trio with Ellen and Brad singing and old friend and tour partner Stuart Cameron playing acoustic guitar. Rather than try to recreate music that was created with some rather cranky toy instruments never meant for the rigors of a tour, Roberts has opted to present these songs in a straightforward, stripped-down manner.

5:00 pm                Hollerado

HolleradoHollerado is four friends that grew up on the same street in tiny Manotick, Ontario. They've also become one of the most lovable groups on the planet thanks to insanely catchy and energetic guitar pop, boundless creativity and a relentless DIY approach. Hollerado has also gained international recognition through tours of China and South America.  Their ground-breaking debut is jam-packed with crazy-catchy melodies, raging hooks and riffs that will stay with you.  Record In A Bag is fun, infectious and an instant classic .

6:00 pm   Acoustic Performance by: Lowest of the Low

Lowest of the LowThe Lowest of the Low formed in early 1991 in Toronto, rising from the same vibrant music scene that produced such bands as the Barenaked Ladies and Rheostatics. Within six months, Lowest of the Low had gained a rabid local following. In the fall of 1991, the band released their first independent CD, Shakespeare My Butt. When no record labels showed any interest, the Lowest of the Low began touring, selling copies of their disc from the side of the stage. Their reputation grew through word of mouth, and Shakespeare My Butt eventually sold over 10,000 copies, quite a feat for a small Canadian band with no distribution or label support. One of the most influential bands on the Canadian alternative music scene in the early 1990s, garnering widespread critical acclaim and radio play, the band is touring in 2011 to mark the 20th anniversary of the album.

7:00 pm   These Kids Wear Crowns

These Kids Wear CrownsThese Kids Wear Crowns are a pop rock electro band from the Lower Mainland, with members stretching from Vancouver all the way to Chilliwack. They’ve recently had an epic adventure across Canada to Toronto to film MuchMusic’s season 2 of disBAND; the reality TV show responsible for launching ‘Stereos ‘ into fame. They are the first and only band ever to be featured on the show from the West Coast.   The band's debut single and music video "Break It Up" debuted at #60 on the Canadian Hot 100. In Fall 2010, These Kids Wear Crowns returned to the studio to record their full-length album, entitled "Jumpstart", which was released on March 1, 2011.

8:00 pm   Classified

ClassifiedClassified released his first album Union Dues in 2001, and has maintained his status as a critically-revered trailblazer throughout his decade-long music career. He’s recorded with everyone from Maestro Fresh Wes to Joel Plaskett and only signed with a major label on his last disc.  A musician who not only writes his own rhymes, but has been making his own beats since Kanye West was attending college, Classified says the melodies on his new 15-track album represents the growth of a musician being exposed and open to new things. Handshakes and Middle Fingers, the hotly-anticipated follow-up to Self-Explanatory, the best-selling album of the rapper’s ten-year-career. is a musical hip-hop album about balance. Through boom-bap beats, catchy choruses and dirty drums, Classified uses his unparalleled wit, lyrics and diction to examine the fine line between mainstream success and the underground.

9:15 pm   DJ Skratch Bastid

DJ Skratch BastidThe Bastid has become one of Canada’s most in-demand DJs and respected producers but don’t think it happened overnight.  From his humble beginnings a decade ago as a teenager in Halifax- pumping out mixtapes from his bedroom and earning a loyal following already back then- he slowly spread his skills first at DJ competitions like DMC, ITF, and Scribble Jam and now around Canada and the world as a widely recognized go-to guy for party-rocking. Since he is increasingly recognized for his comfort and versatility in different styles- hip hop, funk, disco, rock, club and just about every other genre that will make you dance- more and more people are getting hip to his style. Touring city-to-city with a relentless drive, he’s wowed crowds from coast to coast in Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, and all over Europe as he averages close to 200 shows a year.
