  Bathurst Quay East

Bathurst Quay East Map (click for larger map) As the terminus of Queen's Quay Boulevard and Bathurst Street, Bathurst Quay acts as a western anchor to Toronto's Inner Harbour.

The Canada Malting Silos, located on the southeast corner of Bathurst Quay, are a significant visual landmark on Toronto's Central Waterfront, and a reminder of Toronto's industrial heritage. The section of Waterfront Promenade immediately adjacent to the silos is currently inaccessible by Harbourfront users, and needs to be integrated within the parks and open space system.

A significant study is currently underway to explore the suitability of the Malting Silo site to accommodate a major cultural institution on the waterfront in this location.

A significant study is currently underway to explore the suitability of the Canada Malting Silo site to accommodate a major cultural institution on the waterfront in this location. Although the Canada Malting silos are not historically designated, they are listed in the City's inventory of historically significant structures and efforts are being undertaken to ensure their preservation.

Bathurst Quay is also home to the Harbourfront Community Centre and Waterfront Public School, including outdoor recreation areas and active recreation facilities. There is a need to better integrate these facilities into a complicated and diverse quay, as well as address a community need for a better indoor pool facility.
