  Maple Leaf Quay East

Maple Leaf Quay East MapAt approximately 1.32 Ha (3.27 acres), including the Fire Station, Maple Leaf Quay East is one of the largest single park parcels in the Harbourfront.

Maple Leaf Quay East includes a combination Fire/ Station facility (with no associated parking facilities) and an undeveloped section of the Water's Edge Promenade that extends around the entire quay. The dock for the fire boat sits within Peter Street Slip.

A great deal of nautical programming for Rees Street Slip and Simcoe Street Slip is based out the Quay. This quay also provides deep berthing and dockwall access for visiting ships.

Other activities include the Nautical Centre and a Circus School. These uses are based on a parcel of land on Maple Leaf Quay East that is under lease agreement with the Harbourfront Centre (60 day termination clause).

As nautical programming extends from this site across to John Quay to the east, a broader approach to integrating these uses within Harbourfront may be adopted, including the development of supporting facilities and landscape spaces. Any potential expansion to the Fire Station must be accounted for within the development of this portion of the Quay.
