  Peter Street Slip and Basin

Peter Street Slip and Basin Map

The Peter Street Slip and Basin were completed in the early 1990's, and include a portion of the Water's Edge Promenade that extends around the Basin and under the Queens Quay Boulevard bridge.

The public space in the basin has been underused and, combined with issues of poor water circulation (it's a garbage collector) in the basin, necessitate a closer look at the design of this area. The programming of this space will be key to the redevelopment of this area.

The east side of the Peter Street Slip is occupied by the Marine Fire Unit dock, and there are existing agreements, with Harbourfront Centre, to use sections of the dockwall for water-taxi/tender services (i.e. Island Yacht Club tender).
