  Spadina Avenue Slip

Spadina Avenue Slip MapThe Spadina Avenue Slip is bounded by the Spadina Quay Wetlands to the west and an existing condominium (401 Queens Quay West) to the east.

The Water's Edge Promenade has been recently improved along the west and east edges of the Slip, but the north headwall of the slip is tight and narrow, allowing only limited opportunities for movement across the parks and open space system by Harbourfront visitors. Opportunities do exist to cantilever over the slip, as has been done in other areas of the waterfront.
Maple Leaf Quay Condos
The slip provides a setting for boating activities, mooring of recreational vessels, including the tall ship Empire Sandy (actually south of the slip itself).

To the north of the slip, the Railway Lands are a significant future development area that will incorporate residential and commercial development, as well as significant parkland and connections to the waterfront. A new 3.23 ha (8 acre) central park will eventually be developed within the railway lands, to the west of Spadina Avenue. Development either underway, or approved, to the immediate north and within the railway lands presently totals almost 4000 units.
