Turn Off The Light
20/20 for schools is a campaign for teachers and students to help families reduce home energy use by 20% and reduce vehicle use by 20%.

Teachers use 20/20 resources to enrich the Grade 5 unit on energy conservation and in conjunction with environmental events, such as Earth Week (April), Clean Air Day (June) and Walk to School Week (October). Schools can earn points toward EcoSchools certification when teachers sign up their classrooms to participate in 20/20.

Sign up your classroom and get free resources

You will receive:

  • A 20/20 planner for each student
16-page booklet featuring hands-on activities for all of your students to do at home for two weeks with their family to reduce home energy use and/or vehicle use. The 20/20 Planner checklists help students track their actions so that they can see their contribution to clean air.
  • A 20/20 teacher's guide
A teacher's guide which gives some great ideas for introducing 20/20 Planner activities to your students. It also outlines 20/20 connections to the Ontario curriculum.
