The objectives of the Air Quality Health Index advertising campaign are to:

  1. Raise awareness of the Air Quality Health Index as a valuable tool for understanding air quality in terms of health risk and for planning daily activities accordingly


  2. Encourage people to check the Air Quality Health Index on a daily basis


  3. Encourage local media to report daily Air Quality Health Index forecasts and key messages specific to the Index readings


  4. Connect people to the 20/20 The Way to Clean Air campaign where they will be provided with tools to help reduce energy use and to improve Toronto's air quality
