Most of the time, changes women find in their breasts are not cancerous.
There is more than one way to become familiar with checking your breasts; find a way that works best for you. There isn't a right way or wrong way, as long as you check all your breast tissue from your collarbone to under your breast, and from the back of your underarm to your breast bone.
One way to check your breasts is to keep your three middle fingers straight and apply pressure as you move them in small circles from the outside of the breast to the nipple.
If you are interested in knowing more about some of the ways to check your breasts, talk to your doctor or nurse.
