The Communicable Disease Surveillance Unit (CDSU) is the program within Toronto Public Health's Communicable Disease Control (CDC) service responsible for monitoring communicable diseases in Toronto. The CDSU maintains the mandatory reportable disease system and is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting and reporting communicable disease data, to facilitate timely public health action.
