Surveillance Alerts are generated when Toronto Public Health's communicable disease surveillance team identifies global or local communicable disease news items and activities of relevance to our public health community. These alerts summarize news that needs to be shared in a timely and immediate manner as the alerts are meant to increase awareness of emerging or potential communicable disease concerns. Occasionally updates to the information shared in the alerts for ongoing situations are also developed and shared with our public health partners. These are also posted below with "Update" in the title.
