Healthy weights for Kids Your Kids are Listening
Set a healthy example when your kids are young

"Your Kids are Listening" is an early child development public education campaign to remind parents that what you do and say has an impact on your child's own healthy eating, physical activity and self esteem.

A series of print and TV ads was developed by Toronto Public Health and Peel Region Health Department.

As the parent of a young child, you know one thing all too well: kids copy what they see and hear. Whether it's acting like their favourite animal or repeating a song they have heard on the radio, children are like sponges. This is how they learn. And learning good health habits is one of their most important lessons.

Children under the age of six are always learning and what they learn in these early years will last a lifetime. You are the most important role model they have. You help shape your child's health habits, especially when it comes to healthy eating, physical activity and self-esteem.
