Dr. Sheela Basrur, Toronto's Medical Officer of Health, has
released a report "Estimating the Health Impact of Exposure
to Diesel Exhaust in Toronto". Recent regulations in the U.S.
and the adoption of similar ones in Canada will help to reduce
diesel emissions in the future. The report recommends that the
City Air Quality Strategy consider additional ways in which,
emissions of, and exposure to diesel exhaust can be reduced.
