Air Quality Health Assessment Study (2011)

This report presents the results for an air quality health assessment performed for South Riverdale and the Beaches (Wards 30 and 32) based on the Toronto Environment Office modelled concentrations of air pollutants. Ashbridges Bay Treatment Studies (April 2005)

Dr. David McKeown's report to the Board of Health summarizes two studies undertaken for Toronto Public Health. The Emissions Study assessed the air emissions from the Ashbridges Bay Treatment Plant and their impact on the local community. The Health Status study examined whether in the past, residents of South Riverdale and The Beaches had different rates of illness or death compared to other neighbourhoods in the City of Toronto. The report includes recommendations to further address air quality issues in these communities.
