Toronto's drinking water quality

Learn about Toronto's drinking water and how it is monitored for its residents.

In partnership with the City of Toronto Works and Emergency Services, Toronto Public Health provides services to Toronto residents on drinking water inquiries.

Well water quality in some of Toronto's older municipalities (e.g., Scarborough) is also monitored by Toronto Public Health. Residents can contact their local health department office regarding well water sampling and result interpretations.
